The Piano Sales Management Group (PSMG) was organized in 2002 by musical instrument retailers from around the country that use the Customer Frontline System to manage their piano departments. As a sharing group, the PSMG members submit monthly reports to the Retail Business Solutions LLC office. A monthly management report is published with analysis for each PSMG member to compare internal results to group totals and trends. The PSMG report is comprehensive with analysis of customer traffic counts, prospect qualification counts, closing ratios and other Customer Frontline data integrated with traditional sales and inventory accounting statistics. The report serves as a business management guide to improve best practices in prospect management, advertising, closing ratios, GMROI, and other piano sales management issues. 

 

The PSMG meets during Winter NAMM and for a three day business conference held in June. The business conference includes a review and analysis of each member company's annual report in a board of directors forum. Other segments of the last conference included a presentation by Yamaha America Corp., Scott Houston - The Piano Man, and a store inspection and review of the host PSMG member. The PSMG will meet for its 2011 Conference in  Las Vegas.
